The Socio-cultural Work Department is incumbent on:
a) Promoting, coordinating, and controlling the activities in the education, culture, health, social welfare, sports, leisure and tourism areas, submitting to the Town Hall approval the duly founded proposals; 

b) Fulfilling the actions deliberated by the Town Hall in its intervention areas;
c) Participating in coordination meetings promoted by the executive and to make the deliberations taken in the dependent services fulfilled.

d) Promoting regularly coordination meetings with the responsible by the dependent services;
e) To exercise functional authority in the ambit of the Department;
f) Signing, when superiorly determined, mail and documents related to its activity área;

g) Preparing information about its activity área to present regularly to the executive;
h) Administrating all the culture, sports, health, social welfare and leisure equipment and care for its good preservation.
