The started in the 80s to computerize its services introducing new technologies, in the conviction that these are more and more progress and development fundamental instruments.
In a time where the evolution of these equipments is most fast and the updating is permanent, the Town Hall is attentive and has been supplying the services with the necessary equipment to answer the new demands and the computing challenge. 
New information technologies have countless potentialities we intend to use to better serve our citizens.
The Évora Distrito Digital (Évora – Digital District) is this way one more step to enter that wide world and all the potential computer science represents.
These are only small steps bur the necessary ones for the Town Hall and the to keep up with progress without forgetting that the access to these means still doesn’t reach all Portuguese people.

Jerónimo José Correia dos Loios.
Born in 1948.
Bank-clerk
From and resident in  Arraiolos.
Married with three children.
He is Mayor of the since 1994 assuming presently the charge of President of the National Association of City Councils in the District of Évora.
